Hi Seniors/Lawyer,
My brother is US Citizen and my parents visited US, my brother want to apply green card for my parents. What all the documents from India are needed from my parents to apply for GC?
1.What forms/applications do we have to apply?
2.What is the first step should we have to take?
3.Do we need to apply form I130 and along with that can we apply I485?
4.What all documents should my brother submit along with the forms/applications?
Please Seniors/Lawyers help me.

Voters in meatpacking town Freemont, Nebraska have passed a referendum that bars the hiring of illegally present immigrants and also bars renting property to them. My country of citizenship is Canada and currently working on TN status. Canada is covered under Visa waiver program so, I don't need to get visa stamping but need to travel through a POE so, I could get new I-94 for the H validity period.
In the I-129, I have opted for Calgary as POE, but due to some reasons now I have to travel via Toronto, would that be ok?

On 10/01/09, President Obama signed a continuing resolution to fund continued federal government operations through October 31, 2009. Included in the legislation were provisions to extend the E-Verify, Religious Worker, Conrad 30 and EB-5 programs.
The continuing resolution was attached to the FY10 Legislative Branch Appropriations bill (H.R. 2918), and was passed by the House of Representatives on 9/25/09 and the Senate on 9/30/09.
The E-Verify, Religious Worker, Conrad 30 and EB-5 programs have all been extended for an additional 30 days, though all they may be extended further in the coming weeks once the Senate and House conference the FY10 Homeland Security Appropriations bill (H.R. 2892).

To invoke AC21 after 180 days of pending I485, I140 does not have to be approved. But its risky as your I485 application is based on I140, if things go wrong with underlying I140 then your I485 case will be affected.
Please refer to Yates Memo for AC21.

HI All,
I have 3 questions
1)what should be the time period between the Job switch from one employer to another after 6 months of filing of I-485.(AC-21)
2)Is it required to be employed until i get my actual GC ?
3) I am in the period of AC-21 (i.e 180 days completed after my I-485 filing)
If I marry to GC holder . Do i still have to maintain my independent status of I-485 or i can be given some status because of marrying to him..

Hi,
Can we apply for a new EAD/AP after they expire?
If so, what is the difference b/w applying for an extension vs. a new one in terms of fees/documents/photos/etc.?
The reason being I already spent $1000 for EAD/AP last yr. but never used it, and now I have bear all H1 (extension) expenses as well as employer sucked all my blood & is after my limbs after 8 years of slavery. On top of that has stopped paying salary since April.
Hence I am trying to cut corners whenever wherever possible. Any responses or help greatly appreciated.

send them the business week article. In my company along with me 4 other folks also affected due to visa bulletin mess. I sent them an email on July 9th 2007 about flower campaign organized by IV to USCIS director. The sad part is no body showed any interest and bothered to reply. They are also going to benefited by this decision. These people still beleive in Murthy and other lawyer firm updates. I really don't know how to make these folks interested in IV. Any ideas or other personal stories.

My I 485 package was returned as it didnt have the approval notice of I 140, which was submitted a day later than I485 by my company.
It is such a frustrating situation as i have been waiting since 1999 for my GC , and when i got this golden chance my company was not serious enuf to submit the papers in time !
I am doubting the company , as they would have done all this intentionally to keep me in their co. for longer time!The returned letter they have provided me shows no reference no, file no, or either my name ! how can i believe if they have even submitted any papers for I485 or not ?
They say they can refile again .. but duno what to do ??
Can anybody be kind enough to help me out here!
